DCHS Supermarket Vouchers Scheme

Would you like to help raise money for the school without it costing you anything?

It’s so easy to earn money for the school – anyone can do it! - the supermarkets pay us commission.

In the last 5 years we have raised almost £30,000!

Gift card packsThe scheme is quite simple. You buy gift vouchers on a monthly basis from DCHS and the school gets commission. Spend the vouchers on some or all of your shopping at Tesco, John Lewis/Waitrose and Sainsbury’s or use them to buy petrol. Show your Clubcard or Nectar card and you will still get your points on all your shopping  If each family in a class bought £100 of vouchers each month throughout the time their daughter is at school that class alone could raise more than £10,000 for DCHS. If this was repeated across the whole school this would amount to more than £420,000!

Tesco uses electronic gift cards which are available to us in £20 and £50 denominations and are valid for 5 years. Any change is held on the card and is carried forward for future use. This means you don’t have to use the entire amount in one go and you can use them to pay for large or small transactions. These cards can also be used to pay at the self-scanning tills in store. You can use the cards in all Tesco stores and petrol stations.  You can also use them at Tesco Direct. In addition they can be used online at Tesco.com for books, flowers, CDs and DVDs; unfortunately groceries cannot yet be bought online with these gift cards.

For those who prefer John Lewis vouchers, you can use them in store or online at johnlewis.com. You can also use them in Waitrose stores or do your grocery shopping online at waitrose.com or ocado.com. Change is given instore if you don’t spend the whole amount.

Alternatively, buy vouchers throughout the year as a means of saving for Christmas or some other event, or for presents.

For every £100 worth of vouchers ordered, Sainsbury’s give us £2.50, Tesco £5 and John Lewis/Waitrose a massive £7.50!

Happy customers:

Using vouchers has been a wonderful budgeting tool, helping me plan my finances month to month”.

I try to buy local and support small businesses, so just use the vouchers for my petrol”.

Please support the scheme, which directly benefits DCHS, by returning your order form ( together with standing order mandate, if you wish to place a regular order ) to the box outside the Head’s office.
